nice layout… it is really helpful to make your layout in a paper or through a 3D representation so that it would be easier to layout it in the actual lot…. =)

Bermuda is a great lawn, and not just a weed. Bermuda or cynodon dactylon has not only been used extensivly in domestic aplications it has prevented soil erosion thruoghout Africa for decades. Bermuda has also offerred good feed for animal grazing. Anybody who does not give thier flower beds some attention should not have them as they are a high maintanance feature for any garden. Bermuda is more invasive, however this atribute also give it a very high traffic tolerance.

The black poly tarp over the grass will kill it off for sure. Even quicker if you spray down round up or some type of grass killer before you lay down the black tarp.
Does anyone know any eco-friendly to kill grass.
I heard that you can place a plastic cover over the grass you want to remove, then the lack of water and concentrated heat will kill it. I have not tried that, i just used a sod cutting hand tool then dug about 6″

Designer is fearful of the outdoors? Designer has only lived in a condo with a tiny balcony? Instead of opening up the patio doors and being drawn to enjoy the expanse of the yard that could be filled with plenty of plants, lighting, fruit trees, fruiting bushes and a small herb garden to enhance the client’s cooking. They imprison the woman with three quarters of her yard blocked by uncomplimentary off color brick work. No instant gratification for blocking view of neighboring houses either.

i like it but the yard is huge – why make such a small patio? everyone looks cramped on there. also the path on the side of the house makes me think she is going to be dodging plants all the time as she is walking through
Need more information on plants and hard scape. Love the side walk but would like more info on how to recreate it.
